Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what remoteworkhub.pro collects, why, and how to have it removed. It describes the site as it actually runs: a WordPress installation behind Cloudflare, with no account system and no advertising network.
1. Who is responsible
The site is published by RUTH WILLIAMS, reachable at remote@remoteworkhub.pro. That address handles both editorial and data questions.
2. What is collected automatically
Server logs record the requested page, the time, the referring address, the browser user agent and an abbreviated IP address. These records exist to keep the site online and to spot abuse, and they are rotated out after a short retention period.
3. Cookies
There is no login and no account, so no session cookie is set for ordinary readers. A cookie is only stored if a comment form is used, in which case WordPress remembers the name and address you typed so the next comment is easier to leave.
4. Comments
Comments are closed across the site. Where they are opened on an individual article, the name, address and text you submit are stored on the server and the address is used only to render your avatar.
5. Email
If you write to the contact address, the message and your address are kept while the conversation is active. They are not added to a mailing list, sold or shared with third parties.
6. Newsletter
The Friday letter is currently handled by replying to the contact address. Your address is used for that letter only, and one reply asking to stop is enough to remove it.
7. Analytics
Aggregate traffic figures are read from server logs and from Cloudflare’s built-in statistics. No cross-site tracking pixel, fingerprinting script or advertising identifier is installed.
8. Content delivery and security
Cloudflare sits in front of the site and processes requests to filter malicious traffic. Cloudflare may set a security cookie when it challenges a suspicious request; that cookie contains no personal profile.
9. Embedded media and outbound links
Photographs are served from this domain or from Wikimedia Commons. Clicking an outbound link takes you to a site with its own policy, which you should read there.
10. Affiliate links
Some outbound links carry a referral parameter. If you buy after following one, a commission may be paid to the site. The parameter identifies the site, not you.
11. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, log processing rests on a legitimate interest in keeping the service available, correspondence rests on your request, and the newsletter rests on your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
12. Retention
Server logs are kept briefly, correspondence is kept while a thread is active, and comment data lasts as long as the comment is published.
13. Your rights
You may ask what is held about you, request a copy, ask for correction, or ask for deletion. Write to remote@remoteworkhub.pro and the request is answered within thirty days.
14. Children
The site is written for adults in working life and is not directed at children under sixteen.
15. Changes to this policy
If the way data is handled changes, this page is updated and the date at the bottom moves. It was last revised in November 2026.
16. Contact
